Ancient Byelaws

The photo shows the complete restoration of the ancient Common Byelaws with the

cooperation of The Pasture Masters.

Because of the deterioration of the original boards by water ingress, the Civic Society

organised the replacement. A considerable amount of work was involved because the whole

of the script had to be rewritten by a professional signwriter. A plaque marks the event.
